I got the new Suburban 40,000 BTU Furnace and the new Atwood 6 gal water heater installed. A 2 day project, but well worth the effort. Have to get a new gauge for the propane tank and get it installed. After that I get the propane tank filled and we will be ready to start our expedition the 28th January. We will be heading to Arizona first then on to Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Illinois, then home again.

I appreciate all your input David, it is always very useful and has saved me from making wrong choices, especially with the water heater. I would have really been upset installing the tankless system and run into the problems you pointed out.

I agree, but they didn't put that size in and I was just not up to the task of modifying everything to install a 10 gallon heater.
Thanks David, I found the stick on kind on eBay and will be ordering it if I cannot get the in-tank to work.
Glad to hear your almost there. With all that you guys have had to contend with as of late it is truly good to hear some good fortune going your way. Here's hoping 2015 will be your year !
Thanks Rich, we need some time where the MH is not needing repairs. Hopefully 2005 is that time. And a Happy New Year to you also.

NICE TRIP Do NOT miss Crater Lake Natl Park, but last time we were there it was July 5 before the road was fully opened. Of course, you can NOT miss Glacier Natl Park if you're going to Montana. We head to Florida in a couple days to get warm. Next summer were going to do Grand Canyon North Rim and Zion then Yosemite and Kings Canyon and Sequoia before our sons in San Diego and daughter in Texas. With a motorhome you don't wear out your welcome bear as fast when visiting kids and grandkids lol.

I agree about wearing out ones welcome and the motorhome helping that problem. We were born in Montana and lived in Oregon for 6 years so we have see many sites already. I am hoping to spend 2 weeks in South Dakota seeing all the sites on I90 plus a week at a Bible camp in Watertown, SD.
While we are in Montana I will be installing a new generator as my BIL has the welder, transmission jack, etc. that I need to get it installed as it is not an Onan as the original one was. The new one is by Progressive Industries and has a Honda motor running the generator. It is 7000 watts where our old Onan was 6000. Building a new frame will not be as big a problem as getting the wiring done. But if I have problems I will asking questions here to get answers. GORVers are always so helpful.
