The guy is interested in selling it, but what is it? The motor is missing and it has a manual transmission. I couldn't find a serial tag on it anywhere. It had been converted into a motorhome in the 70s, so some of the paneling may be covering it.

I'd like to find out what motor went it in, weight, etc... The actual guy who owns it lives a couple states away. The man manages the business and who spoke with me knows nothing about it.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

I need to go back and take pics of the interior. They had spent some $$$ on it when it was first done. I would guess those headlights put it in the 60s, but the steering wheel and turn signal switch look 50's vintage. Seeing how it had a municipal duty at one time, maybe they styling was just dated.

I don't know what it is, but I see on the side it says Playhound.  Did Greyhound at one time make a RV like Blue Bird does?

The guy who originally owned this was a local sign maker. He has passed several years ago and it now belongs to his grandson who lives in Tennessee. He did it to be humorous. You can't see, but it has a basset hound on the side.

It's hard to see in the pic, but in the front on the roofline, it is glass, making a nice view from the inside out.

It is possible I suppose that this may have actually been a motorhome to start, but the entryway is that of a bus and it is a manual. I just wonder with the sides. Either it wasn't a municipal bus or they really did it right and put in fresh upper and then cut in brand new RV style windows.

Some news on this. It appears to be a 40's Ford Transit bus, sometimes know as model 9Bs (different prefixes based on year). I feel pretty confident that's what this is after some sharp eyes from across the pond. I went back for a short bit today, but still no vin

yet.https://plus.google.com/photos/103049176717156285327/albums/6104595...
