OK gang here is the problem.  When I turn on the headlights, the right turn signal light comes on and the signal will not work.  At the same time, the right turn signal will flash bu very very slowly.  And finally, when the headlights are turned on the cruise control quits working.  The lights I understand, bad ground, bad buld, dirty sockets, etc.  What I don't understand is why the cruise control turns off.  My MH is a 1987 Southwind on a piece of chevy P30 chassis.

It would be to your benefit if they happen to be L.E.D. but new is better than rebuilt IMHO you get new lenses tight sockets and new gaskets / seals. And some peace of mind the guy tailgating you is going to see your brake lights when you have to panic stop for that deer you almost hit. LOL

One benefit of driving at 60, tailgaters are not a problem, everyone is usually blowing by us at 70 or better LOL.  But yes, in the traffic of cities it will be a good feeling to have nice bright lights for others to see.

I hear that Russell, I like the ones who just have to be first. They pass you slam in front of you and a mile down the road they've slowed down so far you have to pass them. Then it's let the games begin. Or they pull up into your blind spot and sit there until they run you up under a slower vehicle then lope on by. Drives me nuts! but thats for an other thread lol.

Thread? That topic would make a whole rope. LOL

Well Rich, the new tail light assemblies are LEDs.  Not as "nice" as if they were like the originals, but definitely will be much brighter for the tailgaters to see.  So will get them installed tomorrow morning when it is cool.

as long as they grip the bulb, your ok with oval.  I used to have a brass brush for cleaning the  socket.  just make the section where the pegs on the sides of the bulbs are, the minor axis of the ellipse...ummm the skinny part of the oval...lol  sockets are available too...with more fab work

That's good Russell and Bernice. Cheers to you and safe travels during your trip.

Thanks for the good wishes, but we are not planning anything till Sept when the leaves are changing and, Lord willing, middle to the end of Oct for AZ to see the grandkids.

Got 90% of the problems fixed with the new light assemblies, got tail lights, turn signals and brake lights. The backup lights come on but are very dim, so will have to chase that problem down.  But that is not a high priority.  Pictures to follow when my good computer finishes updating itself.

Very cool Russell, hope the backup lights turn out to be a minor thing

Glad you got this electrical mostly solved. Got me back up to speed on these problems if and when I get one to work on. BTW, those that just have to pass always crack me up. They get to the stoplight first! Woo Hoooo!! . I am usually smiling when I catch up with them. Then when they see me I love to wave and give them the thumbs up. Really puzzles 'em. LOL

LOL, I 'll bet, silly people cannot understand what you are smiling about and will commit the same folly over and over again.
