We have a 1991 Holiday Rambler Aluma-Lite XL motor home we are working on. Does anyone have an idea where I could find the spare tire cover? I assume it was fiberglass and flat on the bottom and round at the top. I have enclosed pictures of what it looks like now, VERY ugly. Any help would be greatly appreciated, heck I will even put you on my Christmas card list.  John

Thanks Frank; I think that is the way I will go. I really could have used it to good advantage on the this trip. I could have got some great pictures and videos using it. I will work on installing such a system this summer when I get back to the homestead. So much to do...so little time.

I have another strong endorsement I would like to make for all of our RV friends and that is for
Advanced Maintenance-Durham. Actually they are all over the place and the first place to call if experiencing a roadside emergency. I can not praise them enough. Please check them out.

You will be glad you did.

John; After due consideration, if it has been conclusively determined that the part is not available from the manufacturer or after market sources, I think I would contact one of the owners of an existing part and have hi-resolution photos made of the part and then out-source the manufacture of the cover to any one a number of business'es that do that kind of custom work. I would personally contact:

Thanks Don, I will think on it and maybe when money isn't so tight do it.

John; I just did a search on Find-It-Now Parts Warehouse and received some promising looking solutions. VINYL SPARE TIRE COVER 31 1/2" DIAMETER # 45342 Your Price:$12.86. Is just one of the solutions. It would certainly look better than nothing at all at least temporarily.  Here is a link to the search results.

There has got to be one in an RV graveyard someplace.!!

For sure, Kevin. Most of the big salvage yards can do a nationwide search.

Thats probably what we will have to go with for a little while.
