Hi all,
I am a RV newbie, I recently decided to quit my job and buy a 1972 Winnebago Brave for $1,500 (18 foot). My goal is to travel the states and eventually take it to Alaska next May of 2017. The Winnie features a Dodge 318 engine built on the Dodge M300 Chassis.
The engine was rebuilt about 50,000 miles ago and I have had it recently the engine resealed. My first major hurtle is trying to find brake parts, I took it to an RV place and they simply looked at the number of lug nuts and just told me they don't make the parts anymore. I just don't believe that!
Does anybody know any other workarounds around this issue or know of another light truck that uses the same Dodge M300 Chassis? Or a online site where I can order the parts?
I really want to spend some money getting this RV up to speed to ensure it doesn't break down on me! Another other tips that folks are willing to share? I
Any help is certainly appreciated!
Pics will be coming soon as well once I finish my projects!
Thanks in advance!
Kyle

Welcome to the forum. You can start here with Daves page. He has a lot of info on the older Winnies. the parts are out there, you just have to know what to look for, unfortunately I am not the guy to ask for that. I am more knowledgeable on the newer 80's and up GM based units.
Thanks for taking the time to respond Rick! I will certainly check out the link!
