Hello all! We bought a 1971 Great Divide a few months ago and are attempting a restoration. Has anyone ever changed a gravity fill freshwater to city water connection? I hate to start tearing in to it and find it can't be done. Thanks!

most already have a city and a gravity fill system side by side. The city water hook up looks like a female  hose end fitting attached to the side of the camper. If yours does not have one you can go to an RV dealer and source one out of repair parts or from new in kit form. I'm not sure if there is any material on sight but you can inter a search at the top right hand side of ever page. I hope this is of some help.

he might be speaking of a auxilliary city water fill to the fresh tank Rich. if so, tee into the city line, add a valve and then tee into the line between tank and pump. if you do not greatly enlarge the vent line, you run the risk of pressurizing the fresh tank on overfilling. not pretty...

After re reading Shannon's post I would wholeheartedly agree with your solution Dave.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. Thanks so much for all your help! We'll try to get to the tank today and make the adjustments so we don't overfill the tank.
