I was finally able to get the Beasty home today. It was quite a fight getting out of the neighbors yard. It had sunk into the dirt and with it not running it took all my Yukon had to pull it out. We replaced the fuel pump since it was not getting gas and the old one rattled so loud it sounded like someone was sawing the MH in half with a grinder. Anyway, got it started but it runs so bad it won't go into gear without dying. Runs really rich. I took a couple pictures of the interior that we have to empty and will post then in my pictures. I will try a couple here too.

And the adventure begins!! Love making old things new again. Good luck keep us posted.

Wel I spent this soupy humid day playing with the carburetor. The front float was set way too high so it was dumping fuel them all the time. That is why it was running so fast and rich I think. After the float was adjusted it would stay running but I still didn't run right until I ajusted the fuel idle mixture screws. Now it seems to run constantly on low idol and stays running when it's in gear. It isn't hesitating when revving it up either. I'm going to try to drive it around the block a little later tonight after I cooled down and dry off. It will be kinda warm driving it since I haven't had a chance to convert air conditioner to R134a yet and it just blows hot air. Anyway, a major Woo Hoo getting it running smoothly. I realize I still need to rebuild the carb and replace the EGR valve eventually but I can now move it around and get my Yukon back out of the driveway from behind the Beasty.
