Was warm today so I tried to glue the padded vinyl covering to the ceiling panel and the glue is no good. So I'm off to Lowe's to get more. UGH... More wasted time and money.

Hi Russ, If you haven't hit up Lowe's yet I would like to suggest you try Joann Fabric's. They sell a very good spray adhesive that is an actual headliner adhesive for automotive applications that will stand up to hot and cold changes. I can't remember the name off hand but I have a can up in the garage and will try to find it and post if you are interested.
Thanks Rich, but i been to lowes and got the job taken care of. But please get the name anyways. I would appreciate it.
grrrrr. bought new cans of glue asnd they dont work any better than what i had. stuff from this lowes is just garbage. getting real tired of buying stuff there only to have it be defective. Rich I need the name of that spray adhesive at joann fabrics.
Hey Russ, here is a link to the stuff I bought for my headliner. { http://www.joann.com/headliner-spray-glue/7795040.html#q=headliner%... } I also used a product from Permatex I bought from Advanced Auto Parts it's called Body Shop Heavy Duty Headliner & Carpet Adhesive. good luck on your project. copy and past the link without the brackets ;have a good day old friend.
Russ, I've had good luck with 3M automotive spray can adhesive.
Found an absolutely amazing spray adhesive. It is called X30 fas-tac all purpose spray adhesive made by Leech Products Inc. I sprayed it on tge wood, waited 30 seconds, put on the padded vinyl, pressed it down, waited 1 minute and it would not move. It was glued down solid. I paid $12.75 for an 11 ounce can.
Glad to see you found a product you like. We had a 3M product called Super 77 that we used to keep stuff together. That was so sticky you had to spray that stuff in a secure area or risk walking out with anything you came in contact with from the overspray. I bet I could laminate countertops with that stuff...
The 3M Super 77 is what I used the first time. Then must have been frozen at some point cuz it never work right. Then I tried the 3M Headliner/Trim adhesive. Was some better but still did not hold. This last one is the only adhesive that has worked.
Hoo ra, Glad you found something that works Russ and at a good price too. The stuff i used was almost twenty bucks a can.
