Epdm liquid rubber roofing

Hey folks,

A few years ago I tore the old roof off of the 71 Winnebago Brave and completely rebuilt it using 2X4s and plywood. I sealed it all with this EPDM liquid rubber roofing I think I paid $400 for 5 gallons of it. Over a couple years I guess the plywood expanded and contracted with changing temperatures, allowed moisture to get under this rubber layer. The rubber held the moisture in and now my "new" roof is soft.

Pretty frustrating, but in the near future I will start the roof rebuild process again. I am leaning toward using one piece of rolled solid EPDM rubber roof that needs glued on, I will not use the liquid stuff anymore. 

 I was thinking about using a self adhesive Ice and water shield under the rubber roofing this time.

Does anyone have any better options that I should consider?

I wish I would have done it right the first time.

Hi Andrew, that ice guard and tree branches might tear the new rubber roof. Sands RV sells the white aluminum 8 foot wide from a long roll.

One sheet of aluminum sounds like a great idea! Just glue it to the new plywood?

Andrew, ask Sands if they have the roll of white fiberglass as well.
