Working on our little Alladdin before first big weekend  (Labor Day) and thougt I should try the stove and oven in case the need arises.  Oh!  That's not good.

Full propane tank.  Gave all the connections a sniff test with all appliances off and again with a burner on - no stink!  But the flame on the burner is barely 1/4 inch tall, and can only light one burner at a time; if I try and light a second burner the first goes out as I turn on the gas.  The oven will not light at all, if I wait a bit after turning on the control I can get a small 'Poof" but the burner will not light.

The previous owner did say that the burners would light - which is what they do so I think was warning me about that without saying directly, fair enough.

The installed regulator is the smallest one available from Camping World, could it just be too low of flow for the older stove/oven in my camper?  Or am I looking at something else going on?

Thanks

Bruce

Maybe the lines are clogged. OR, the burners themselves. You might try scrubbing them down with a toothbrush and vacuuming the stuff out... Try one at a time.

If you can't get it to work--a crock pot is cool to just plug in and GO!

It took some work to get my burners to all work at once. I do however, turn off the gas when I leave... or at night. I am paranoid that way...

Good Luck and have fun! Where are you headed?
Barb,
Turning off the gas was one of the first topics of discussion when we got the trailer home, since only the stove/oven is propane it should not be a problem to turn on/off for cooking and cleaning.

Big Twin Lakes (?) resort near Winthop, Washington. Four couples w/ 3 lakeside spots that are set off from most sites. Have the rowboat that my dad and I built on the truck rack already, curtains are almost done. We're going camping!!

Bruce - Not knowing what brand stove you have but on ours there is a shut-off valve between the stove top and the oven - make sure this is open all the way. On my site I have a complete diagram of the stove/oven. Happy trails and have a fun week-end, Duane
