Suspension air bags 13 Replies

Has anyone replaced the coil airbags? If so how did you get them in. The instructions say to twist the air bag but I can't get it to untwist once it is in coil.

Logo looks great .Daniel Long . I just need to do a wax job on mine and it's really hot and muggy here in Louisiana. Can't wait till fall, travel Safe .

Got a place that reproduced my logo for the front of the RV in better material AND they can do it in ANY color (body and border) for your vintage Allegro!! Easy peasy two-color vinyl transfer. Here's a pic of the original Tiffin logo (worn out and 36 years old and NOT going to transfer) and the new one! It's not completely exact but soooo close most folks won't mind. $40 bucks not including shipping (you can pick your colors, too!!)

Atwood bits can be found here and they are pretty helpful.

My gas tank is just a welded box for 60 gallons, I think I can squeak another gallon or so in it. Looks like 1/8" steel plate. Good luck on your "project" hope you can find someone to reconstruct it without having to redo the whole thing (at least keep the top where all the bits come out...;-)

Good morning,

I have an 86 model and was unsuccessful finding a replacement gas tank. I had to weld up a complete replacement. Making a completely new tank may not be necessary. Mine had a rusty bottom. You might be able to patch or replace the bottom section. Good luck!
NOTE: I made the generator stand pipe too tall. This resulted in too much reserve fuel. This is better than too short, but not quite right.

Does anyone know where I could find a 80 gallon gas tank for my 86 Allegro?

Hope some one can help here. My oven valve quit working. It's a Atwwod four burner T2130. Can't seem to find the valve at all any where. Does anyone know where I can find one or retrofit another one?
