Hi,

i have just finished fixing up the inside of my Aladdin. I posted pictures on my page. I would love to be in touch with other Aladdin owners. I could not be happier then I am with this trailer. I am 6'4" and was looking for a vintage trailer for my dog and I and this one gives me full headroom and an 80" long bed.

I am now getting ready to work on the outside.

Thanks! Love this site!

Hi

My husband and I also have a 1966 Aladdin Trailer and we're going to a couple of Vintage Trailer Rallies this year. Our first one is next month on the coast of Oregon and they had over 30 different trailers last year. The Rollin' Oldies Vintage Trailer website has all the information:  http://www.rovt.org/default.htm

Hi,

I am hoping to make it to one of the rally's also but unfortunately can't make the one in April. Your Aladdin looks great by the way.

Hope we can keep in touch!

Dale

Dale,

Your Aladdin cabinets are painted the same way as the cabinets in our trailer.  Did you do this yourself or did some Aladdin's come painted this way?

Bruce

Bruce,

Actually the previous owner had painted over the aqua stove top and ice box a tan color. When I striped off the paint I found the aqua stove top but as the ice box was not porcelain it striped it down to metal. I took the stove top in to match the color to paint the ice box. I decided to use the same paint on the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen area.

I debated painting the walls verses leaving them wood. I went with the paint but left the ceiling wood as the ceiling was in very nice condition. The walls were kind of stained and dirty.

Dale:

I too am planning on painting the interior as the wood is stained and it is not like the nice birch that other vintage trailers have.  Really like the cupboards and drawers painted like you and Bruce have done, so thinking of doing the same.  Like that pop of color.

Does anyone know who started this Yahoo Group:

http://autos.dir.groups.yahoo.com/group/aladdintraveltrailers/

I've tried to join and to contact the List Owner with no success. It has only had 3 posts and no activity for quite awhile. Is there any interest by other Aladdin owners for some type of List Group for discussion and sharing of our Aladdin's?

Dale

I would be interested.

I started a group if anyone is interested. It is at:

Thanks!

Dale
