There are many reasons to purchase an older RV, for me it was not looking like every other motorhome on the road today.  The major con is that restoring and old RV is that it can get intensive, some people have gone so far as to strip a trailer to the frame and completely rebuild it from scratch. But the biggest pro of restoring an older RV is that you will have the ability to make it your own, adding your own personal desires of what you want it to look like on the inside and restyling the outside with, for example, a different paint scheme.
