I am using a 1/4" pine and nailed it in the middle (2 roofing nails), laid length ways on two saw horses. I clamped two 2"x4"x8' boards on each edge. I let the morning dew do its work and they bowed beautifully the way I was hoping. I need 1/2" thick roofing so when I put this one in place, I will process another the same way and put them on top of each other. Cost each board $18.50.

1/8 inch birch plywood. Was easy to bend up until the final curve at the bottom. We then had to go with special bending plywood. Not cheap stuff though.

How do you get that plywood to bend w/o breaking?
