Have any of you tried using upholstery fabric for wall covering? I have some retro fabric that was gifted to me that I want use up.

I have been in several new campers that have a ceiling covered in a carpet type of covering

It was a 70's craze,, carpet the walls of the ole shaggin wagon, so to speak, BUT, as Russ mentioned,,, Carpets and such HOLD smells,, smoke, cooking,, dust, etc. I would use something that is cleanable / washable.
BTW,, if you did, cover the walls with material,, it would be very messy to power wash the interior,,, just saying.

Your points are well taken Russ. I remember back many moons ago this was kind of a craze for people. Having taken some out there and tested the look, and then thinking over the cleaning part of it.....yeah...LOL I decided to do something else with it, just using it for accents in certain areas to follow a color scheme.
I've been out there ripping away and replacing wiring here and there. I'm going to have another coffee and go out to tackle taking down the cabinet frames.
Apparently the critters are not accustomed to my required schedule yet. They don't understand that I need at least one coffee in me before they surprise me. Biggest Bumble Bee I've ever seen was crawling lazily across the floor when I walked into this morning. I captured and relocated to a nice area of the veggie garden. :) Guess I'll have to leave some guidelines as when to being activity according to my schedule. {{tee hee}}

Not to sound like a smart alek, Tina, but why would you want to use fabric on the walls? With all the dust, cooking, general air pollution, etc. I think that would be very hard to keep clean.
