Thanks so much for the advice. It's probably the 15' 6" model since it looks pretty small. (it's 2 hrs. away from me and I'm planning on going up next week to pick it up. I do have a receiver hitch on the Honda as I use it for hauling my fishing boat. The stabilizer and equalizer are a great idea since I am all about towing safely. As for a diamond in the rough Lakota, you are right. judging by the pictures it is more damond than rough!
Russ Is correct on his reply,, When in doubt, talk with your Honda dealership, They will have a little more detailed info on your particular model etc. Russ also made an excellent point,, even tho its a shorter trailer,, Stabalizers and equalizer hitch for safety,,, It dont take much for a trailer to cut loose and get you all sideways real quick. With the trailer being a 1969,, that is built way better then the new stuff they have with the Nomad series. Thats a dianond in the rough to restore,,meaning thats a great find and very worthy to restore to its glory.
According to the NADA guides there is no 16 footer. If it is 7 foot wide by 15 foot 6 inches long it weighs 1700 pounds. If it is 8 feet wide by 17 feet long then it weigh 2200 pounds without the toilet and 2500 pounds with the toilet.
Without a specific year it is hard to know what the towing capacity of the Odyssey actually is. The 2017 has a capacity of 3500 pounds. You will need to get a receiver hitch for it, if you do not have one yet, because there is a very good chance you will need an equalizer hitch for it but will definitely want to have stabilizers for it to keep it from fishtailing.
It is 16' including the tongue. I want to tow it with a 6cyl. Honda Odyesy. It has trans. cooler and power steering cooler.
