So, maybe a HiMi? LOL. seriously It's not good new's but at least It's replaceable and probably available from a bone yard near you.
Yes sir, Jimco made me sad and happy in one day. Sad he informed me the Go-Go Bus needs a new heart but happy that in the mean time he has made it run much better.
Jimco's assessment was correct. The manual for the '69 Dodge A100 says compression should be 110 to 140 with only a 20 difference between cylinders. My engine read 90 - 120 - 118 - 105 - 125 - 103 PSI. Hummina hummina and sputter.
Thanks Lydia and Jimco!!
Hi Rich. It's always some thing going wrong. That's the fun right? Carey is back here for a tune up only to find out his engine compression is way out of spec. The 1966 Dodge 225 6 cylinder that is in his 1969 Dodge camper van is still running. But it is feeling it's age.
Sorry your having trouble Carey, seams like a theme to this years event. Russ had a heat issue on his way home and I had some fuel delivery problems on the Palace. after all the work to insure I didn't The old girl would spit and sputter when the tank got down to 1/4 full. I removed the tank and it is clean as a pin but the filter bag on the sending unit was hard to blow through. No sediment but just plugged with dried gas I guess. I have a new one and now I'm waiting on a carb kit. Hope to have it back on the road by next weekend. fingers crossed. Hoping it's not the new fuel pump. I hate causing problems trying to prevent one.
