Different news Found out that this trans is capable of starting out in second gear (for driving in the snow) if it road tests ok i will try to make it to the jam  Fingers crossed !  Frank

Frank as you know we're nearby and if there is anything we can do to help please let us know. In other news wheel bearings checked out great, some minor tinkering done on the Apache today, soon she will be packed and ready to go. Lost some time today trying to avoid the rain which never came.

Well Bad News ! on the trip to Pgh yesterday on the turnpike i noticed suddenly the trans was staying in 3rd gear longer than previously after downshifting  Then i noticed the tranny temp climbing above 180o (where it had been running all day ) Then RPMs started climbing and speed was dropping off There was a pull off spot about 100 yds away wich i pushed to make wile trans started loud buzzing crawled into pulloff and stopped transmission cooling hose had developed a small leak and lost fluid . Jumping ahead now i have damaged 1st gear its hesitating and banging in  I belive this is either frt cluch or a band  So i will be redoing the trans instead of attending the rally i was so looking forward to  Sorry TJ i have your compressor on board BUT Sh-- happens  Frank

I so wish we could have made it but the kiddos have a theater production that weekend, plus the old motorhome is not wanting to stay running :(

One of these days we WILL make it...I so wanted it to be this year, so did my kids...

Beach party sounds like fun! We're going to play it by ear what we are bringing to the potluck. Going to try to shop locally and go as fresh as we can so we have to see what is available!
