1976 Dodge B400 Sportsman w/Fireball - brake + tail lights not working

Need advice/ideas on brake & tail light issue: our 1976 Dodge B400 Sportsman with Fireball coach does not have working brake or tail lights. We have replaced almost all of the running lights near the roof (knowing from past history that the upper running lights somehow are tied into the brake/tail lights) and have replaced the bulbs in the 2 yr old brake/tail light fixtures, and have replaced all but one of the fuses (I broke lose a clip on the last fuse holder) and nothing seems to get them working. Any ideas???

Definitely trying this. And, no surprise, the horn does not work either.

Hi Janet,if one your fuse holders is broken that could be a problem. What does that fuse supply?

Also check your brake light switch. You should have 12 volts on one side of it and 12 volts on the other side of it when the brake pedal is pushed.

We plan on replacing the current fuse holder with an after market. I cannot read what that fuse was for; the fuse holder is old and crusty looking.

Definitely trying this on the brake light switch.
