Ive used the bus for many things. One time there was a civil war re enactment weekend, and being part of the ambulance service we were required to be there the entire weekend. I parked the bus there Friday afternoon and moved it home on Monday morning. We used it as a first aid station. I treated several minor injuries and helped a couple elderly people with diabetic problems. Also used it as a cooling station for over heated re enacters. It was a memorable weekend that I got to share with my daughter.

If you wanna see bus conversions out the ying yang with allllllllll sorts of home made devices, visit any busnuts rally. I used to have the bus bug but when I saw how expensive and how heavy parts were and the chassis and drive train and brakes, transmissions and tires etc etc I opted for my Class C with a one ton Chevrolet chassis that you can get about any parts for practically at K Mart and will be able to for years to come. HOWEVER don't get me wrong, I LOVE conversions and all the goodies and room etc AND I LOVE FLXIBLES WOWWWWWWWW........ We do a lot of National Parks and Natl Forest and Utah and Colorado dry camping in the mountains where a smaller shorter lighter unit works much easier and better for our lifestyle.

Lets see them pictures as I love conversions but they don't work for our more mobile gypsy lifestyle.

 Ol John T and all

Pat, anytime I see a Flx I get weak in the knees, sure Id love one. However at my age and station in life and for our travel lifestyle,  I simply don't have the patience to ever restore one the way Id like it so I just grin and bear it. If I were just starting and had the patience I used to I might take on a bus conversion but I just cant do it now grrrrrrrrrrrrrr so I go to rallys and look at others with envy.

At the recent Florida Flywheelers there were like 16 Wanderlodge Owners Group who brought their Wanderlodge Bus  RV's and had a big rally and showed them off WOW now those Wanderlodges were one great motorhome.

Heres my Class C at Lake Bonnett Village in Avon Park Florida where I stay most of the winter.
