New to GORV. New to RVing. Trying to make impound yard 1966 Ideal 19' trailer livable.

Yeah. 

There is a long story behind this involving a 7.1 earthquake and fallout from some crisis decisions, but you  don't want to hear that. Suffice it to say that my family and I are up in Capitola trying to put a 1966 Ideal 19 foot travel trailer back together and get it livable - getting it showroom restored will come when we have the luxury to do so.

The good news is that someone replaced the 110v wiring because we have a breaker box instead of a fuse box, the replacement dorm fridge and AC and interior lights and outlets work, and we've only had to replace one tire so far. We're still trying to get all the junk out from the impound yard, but we were able to tow it over Tehachapi and Hwy 17 and our minivan still has a transmission and brakes, so it appears the trailer weighs under 3500 lbs now. Oh, and the roof appears intact. Ish.

Everything else is the bad news. There is a hole where the kitchen sink was, there is no stove, I have no ide where the furnace is, the water heater is still here but appears to have been uninstalled with a hacksaw to the hoses, the toilet is not attached, and there is no sign of an inverter or battery charger and little sign of a 12v system at all. Oh, and the brakes gave out - one on Hwy 99 and one while parking here.

No idea where we're going from here - would like to get solar and plumbing set up as a goal to distract myself from realizing that we have no idea where we're going.  Hope this is in the right place - I would normally lurk a few months and learn the rules a little better but here we are.
