I have a 1964 Aladdin trailer.  I have owned it since 1979.  The entry door seems strong but it seems to saga and rub the bottom outside corner of the frame.  Anyone ever dealt with a sagging door?  I have loosened the four hinges on right side and lifted with a hydraulic jack using light pressure, then tightened the hinges very tightly.  Still wants to rub that far corner.  Any ideas?

Doors typically fail where they become out of square. Early ones are harder to fix in this regard if the pressed corner pieces or screws running the entire length like a piano hinge. I disassemble and use the sheet metal as a guide to re-square the body. Construction adhesive between the metal and wood frame and then carefully staple the perimeter. Do both sides. Reassemble the edge molding. Then I use lexel from ace to seal the perimeter, molding to sheet metal etc...before you start, grad the edge of the door and check for movement up and down and evidence of shifting. If there is none, then possibly the coach itself has shifted. You can pull the mounting screws top, bottom, and hinge side, then jack the hinge area with a hyd jack and a 2x2. Most openings have room at the top for the casing to slide upward. Good luck...

David hit that repair right on the head. Doors are not always the culprit, door frames can get out of wack also, with the shifting of the coach. One thing to check before setting out to realign a door is make sure your rig is level, I have encountered doors rubbing or being hard to open and close, and the majority of the issue was the rig not sitting level, (even New RV's on the lot).

Yeah...went on a service call one time with the door dragging hard. Good ol boy on the ranch jacked up the trailer and pulled the wheels. Had the trailer suspended with a railroad tie at each end of the trailer. Hint...level the coach by driving up on boards to level side to side. Then, just put the levelers where they support the corners enough to prevent movement.
