Okay, other than the jokes I'm going to get to lose 80 pounds and always park a passenger in the rear dinette seat, I'm not sure how I can lose weight up front.
Pat me on the back - I got the nerve up to drive up on a cat scale (and dang wouldn't you know there was a button my height) and found I'm great on the rear axle but over on the front.
I'm rated total for 10,100 total and then the breakdown (which doesn't add up, I know - but I'm taking it off the door plate) is:
3300 front
7200 rear
I'm 3380 on the front and that's without a passenger.
Back is fine - I'm at 5300. Thing is that's where all my storage and everything is (one day I'll do four corners but this is what I have access to at the moment). The only thing I know to do to make any real difference is drive with an empty fresh water tank. I'm about half full so that's about 120 lbs. But of course when you are traveling having that water is kind of important.
But, I could weigh again empty when I get to Denver see what difference that might make (tank is probably half way between the axles).
Thoughts????? How critical is having that extra 80-230 (when I have a passenger) along?
