Well it's been quite a year for the Palace and me. We done quite a bit of traveling this year and also a whole bunch of Maintenance and rehab work. The Palace is now a worthy dependable rig that is ready to hit the road with confidence and reliability. (to bad the winter lay over is just around the corner). We are gearing up for our last adventure for the 2018 season and are heading over to Hocking Hills for a four day camp out with my sister and her husband. Once again we are calibrating Thanksgiving at the campground. We are doing what has become a tradition for us since I purchased the Palace in 2014. It is one of my favorite holidays because I get to share time with friends and family. This is one of the surprises the Palace has afforded me over the last few years and one I truly like to do. We are doing our dinner on Friday because some of the crew won't be there till then but, we are doing a small dinner on Thursday as well. As in the past 4 years we plan to burn a turkey ( deep fry ) and do the usual mashed taters, dressing and the whole thing. I'm  baking a couple pies, bread and rolls on the open fire with my collection of cast Iron; a pastime I have had for most of my life starting with my years in scouting. We plan to do some hiking and I even plan on casting a few jigs in the small Lake Rose just a few hundred yards from our camp. The weather forecast isn't that promising but we are loaded with board games and playing cards. And we all like to talk joke and prank so it should be an interesting time. My daughter in law just got back from Africa doing work with displaced women whose husbands have died and they are shunned by their tribes and even their government. I look forward to looking at her pictures and listening to her talk to us of her adventure. So to bring this to a close I wan't every one to have a very nice, safe and healthy Thanksgiving and please remember those who serve us and keep us safe in your Thanksgiving prayers and help lift some one up who is struggling or fallen on hard times. HAPPY THANKSGIVING GORV"S
