I don't know what the muffler specs are, but in the 26 yrs since it was built, have mufflers improved on the balance between hp (via backpressure and pipe diameter) and noise factor (db)? Mine has the stock muffler with a 3-3.5" pipe. Could I keep the noise low (4000+ rpm os noisey on the highway) and use a high flowing muffler? Walker, Flowmaster, and others have interesting chamber designs.
Anyone know more about this??
