Apparently the Terry Taurus is made by Fleetwood, so we have a question about our very old trailer, just purchased. It has been used and abused and needs lots of work. For example, the back seams,…Continue

Hey ...just looking at my rig sticker..ZXC19RD...that's the model. As far as I can tell it's 36 plus feet long, Oshkosh chassis 5.9 Cummins diesel..with a 6.5 Kubota diesel gen set. Why the 19 with the figures is not known to me at this time. After working in the industry for some 12 years I'm finding it hard to remember all that stuff... thus the term old farther..who duh thunk signed still learning....Richard
You have to love spell check....all you R.V.lovers.not TV lovers....
Hello all Fleetwood and other TV owners... we are All important...
Just a quick Hello to all...we have finally got our rig... 1994 Fleetwood boulder diesel...pretty much the shape I expected for a 24 year old rig. Quite a number of surprises for us some good some not. Probably our biggest was purchase date....too late in the year to start some of the needed items we are doing. On the upside it's just what we wanted.... as I make my own fuel that was a first must have and also diesel gen set too. I'm a happy boy .will get some pics in soon as its_14 c right now... a tad cold for me just now. we can hardly wait for summer.... seasons greeting to all and God Bless
So, I was feeling a little left out with the groups thing and even though I was an honorary Wini member ( Thanks Jimco ) I realized hay, I own a Fleetwood- well sort of. It is my back up camper and I have had it for about 17 years. My family and I had been avid tent campers for most of our life until I met with an accident that left me unable to pursue that life choice. We struck out to find a solution and it came in a little but very capable rendition of the ever popular Coleman by Fleetwood pop up camper. Yep a pop up model called the Redwood. Still a tent but all the comforts of home... Well except for that no toilet?shower thing but what it lacked in creature comfort it more than made up in convenience. A full size and queen size bed three way fridge and a really nice galley with a portable gas stove that could be used in side or outside under the attached canopy. as my boys grew and eventually moved on I have twice now have had people come with cash in hand to relieve me of my little rig but I just can't bring myself to let her go; even though i have a hard time setting it up by myself it has a value that far exceeds the realistic value. That decision has saved me a couple of times now when I had problems with my Class C Travelcraft or when it just wasn't practical to take the motor home. the most resent was a paid ahead camp out with my youngest son. The torque converter ballooned on The Palace (78 Travelcraft) and threatened to derail our plans. The little redwood was there to save the day.
Greetings all you members of the Fleetwood forum. Sorry I have not kept up with the new members but I am glad you have joined. There are many different RVs made by Fleetwood and so we should have lots of discussions going on about them.
To start off I would like each of you to tell us about your RV. Ours is a 1987 Southwind. It has a center kitchen and rear bunk beds. It is a God awful tan and brown outside color scheme. The interior is not quite so bad as the brown leans more towards a dark burgundy color, with pale tan shades.
Currently I am doing some repair of the fiberglass body. One place it is cracked about 14 inches long on the left side rear window. I got that sectio finished yesterday, it was a cool day, only 86 degrees LOL. The next cooler day I will be tackling a spot on the front near the roof line where I hit something very hard. I think it was a portable basketball setup that was hidden in the tree, but I never did see it, just heard the THWACK!
Anyways, when all the body work is completed, I will take it to a body repair shop where they will do the prep work and paint the old girl (affectionately known as the MMP--Mobile Money Pit, and also as Betsy). I will have them use Monstaliner roll on paint. My wife wants it to be white on top and a burgundy on the bottom whereas I want it to be white on the top half and a light green on the bottom. So you all know that means it will be a white/burgundy paint scheme (HWHL).
So that is a brief summary of our Fleetwood and the plans for it. Others please jump in and share your RV with us and what you are doing, planning, or have done.
Be safe all in all your travels.
