I was on a road trip when I think Kevin Smith had some inverters  available at $40.00 I sure missed out on a great deal there. I 'm wanting to set the palace up for better dry camping opportunities. right now I'm as basic as you can get. with shore power, a dc converter / charger and one deep cycle battery, All my lights are 12 volt  but I have 4 120 ac outlets. plan is to convert the lights to LED . purchase a small inverter gen set and a solar set up at some point.

Thanks Rich. As the King of Procrastination, I still haven't put up the quarter-round along the edges. I need to do that because one of the smaller planks in the back keeps popping up.

I may hang out in there some more tonight. My new inverter came in today. I want to see what I can get away with and for how long on my 2 deep cycle batteries. It's 2,000 watts. I want to run the fridge (on electric: 300 watts), TV, DirecTV box and boombox with it. It has enough wattage for the microwave or coffee maker, but that would suck the juice out of the batteries pretty quick.

Funny you should mention that Jim, at present mines two steps out my front door. I always park it there a few days before a trip. makes it easier to prep. But I like to hang out there sometimes too. By the way the floors look super nice.

Got the DirecTV dish working (it's more of an art than science) and I'm still liking the new floors. I hang out in here more than my real house 20 feet away.
