yeah I thought fifth wheel too at first . I would take something like that and put it on a goose neck trailer so you have room for your quads too :) That is just a crazy set up  ,I don't think something like that would "fly" with the Department of Transportation up here in BC.

Look how low the camper sits at the back of the truck just behind flared fenders,, he couldnt use 5th wheel or king pin hitch without ripping apart the tail en of the truck, Plus you need at least 4 inches space between the body of tow vehicle and trailer,(5th wheel hitch) for tip and dip room and swivel clearance.

that is a odd one, my first thought was a 5th wheel perhaps

oh ok ,that makes sense now. Thanks! I have never saw anything like it. Yup it sure looks like a very heavy unit even for that old dually

The Born free traveler has a pivoting floater axle,  when you turn it pivots like a car dolly platform, that way it doesnt skid the wheels or tear the back of the truck off.  There is one about 2 miles from here at a Pawn shop.  BTW. they are a Tad bit heavy, The one here locally is 4400lbs.

Oh not yours ,ok .How would it turn? ,without wrecking the truck. You hit a bump you think the fenders would be toast ,lol!

I think it's 5th wheeler with a hitch on the bed of the truck.Never saw one in person.

I'm curious how it travels? does it mount to a hitch in the bed of the truck or slide in and anchor like a camper?
