We planned for about twp years while I revived the Tramper...re-fied the house, sold a 1970, 911,  killed our credit cards, paid student loans 10 months in advance, and took a chance.  The "About" links and early posts had some of the prep.  Good Luck!  Now we are remembering that we loved the life we left as we "fit back in".  Luckily found some jobs etc.

Dave - Thanks for the web site links, I'll check them out. What a great sounding trip you and your wife had! Someday I hope to do the same; summers at the lake and the rest of the time, camper trailer traveling. Thanks again for the web links.

Adam have you checked www.paintscratch.com , or  www.apstowerpaint.com/aboutus.php  for color matching?  You could get Avacado spray to match if you really wanted.  Also, Have you seen our  www.trampervoyage.com blog?  My wife and I just got back from 7 months on the road.  New Brunswick, CA down through ME, VT, NH the Appalachians for Fall, FL, the Gulf, TX and Colorado to ski for 6 weeks.  LOTS of pics and fun stories.  We are still reeling

They really are great little lights and your right about the heat.  We used ours in in our 71 Roadrunner to heat up the trailer when the temperatures weren't too low.

I believe you are correct but I'll have to take another look at my camper and get back to you. It's amazing how much light and heat these little gas lights give off.

I really like the propane lights and I see you have one adjacent to your closet?  Do you know if the LP line for this runs all the way behind the kitchen cabinets, under the bathroom, back sink and then to the closet?  This looks like a good place to put one.

Yes, the floor is original. Only the curtains and refrigerator have been replaced.

Yes, the floor is original and in perfect condition. Only the refrigerator and currents have been replaced, everything else is original. I love this Lark! It's roomy, lots of storage and very tall ceilings.

I thought about it but I can't find avocado green paint and the surface of the door is lightly textured and I'm afraid spray paint may not stick very well. Oh well, I got a heck of a deal on this dorm refrigerator. Older couple won it and never used it. Sat in their garage for two years until I came along and bought it for $50. I'm happy. :)
