I didn't see any 1/4 round for mine - just the "4 in 1" trim that I plan to use on the step. Staining some 1/4 round isn't too hard - I'll find a color that looks good with the floor. The hard part is actually finding WOOD 1/4 round anymore. Everything these days is plastic and pre-finished.

Thank you Wolf. Jim I ran my floor real tight no gaps for the most part. I do have the matching 1/4 round and will be using it in a few spots.

I'm also wondering what to use to cover the recommended 3/8" expansion gap (or if that big a gap is really necessary due to the small surface area). I guess 1/4 round? It would have to be stained to match, I would think.

I've learned from the start. don't Rush hard wood flooring. I like how you went side to side on your floor. Ivve done 4 hardwood installs and always went length wise. That side to side looks awesome. Job was well done looks great and the accent ffloor lighting adds that classic final detail. OK. I'm jelous..

That sucks. I'll have to see how bad mine is. I put down 1/4" plywood in my bath for that reason. I need to tear it all up again because the fresh water inlet on the new toilet leaked.

Not sure what to do with the step - I'll have to deal with that once I get going on the install. I'm not touching the cab for now, either.

Mines 30 feet. I calculated 4 1/2 boxes so I ordered 5.

Thanks!

Not tolerant at all. I put 1/4 plywood down first then the flooring. When installing the floor the was a 1/8 piece of scrap under a plank I had missed and the floor wouldn't lock right.

How tolerant of unevenness in the floor are the planks? I was hoping to put it down directly over the existing plywood but there are a couple of trouble spots where the wood is uneven where it meets the next sheet. I have a similar issue where i cut the floor out to access the fuel lines. I can also feel a big dip in the back bedroom under the carpet but I know that will need to be addressed with new plywood. I'm afraid of what might be going on under there.

Ordered up the flooring today- 5 boxes at around 17 SF each. It *should* cover it, and the bathroom too. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah it does look wider. I also opened up 6 inch by building the bench and getting rid of the couch. We are very happy with it. We are in VA as i wright this. First trip of the year and the work we did really opened up the interior.
