Oh, the memories are still so strong with the times spent camping. My stepsons never had been camping so they were excited to have the experience. I loved driving it. We never did make it down to Hunting island State Park in South Carolina once we moved to SC. It's right on the beach and I really wanted to camp there with it. We'd been tenting there but the RV would hsve been so much more enjoyable. I missed out on that. But I have named my camper "The Lit'l E" after the motorhome, whose name was "The Big E"...my dad named it because our last name is Ernst.

Well, unfortunately my marriage ended and I just couldn't even consider taking it with me so it remains in South Carolina...not sure what happened to it. I hate that fact.

Hi, Doug, the motorhome was a 1971 Dodge Chassis Boise Cascade Lifetiime, 20'. My folks bought it new and I'm thinking this pic was taken in '76 or '77. When they bought their new one in the early 90s my husband and I bought "The Big E" for ourselves. His boys had never been camping before and so it was great with them. we got a lot of usage out of it and miss it. My little TT I bought last name is named sort of after it---"The Lit'l E".
