you can, I always wrapped it up backwards on split bolts ( sticky side out) because the glue on tape makes a mess when you open it up for inspection or adding a wire. It looks like the power conductor is shielded fairly well so I would consider it as a personal preference.
Good catch all, I missed that conglomeration all together. Sorry So ska, its needs to be tied together properly.
You should be able to do it with one. you just take the nut off slide it over the conductor where it's twisted together and install the nut, tighten and you should be good to go.
So ska looking at those frame grounds the twisted wiring on the green leads I would highly recommend as John T noted to either supply a buss bar for those connections or on the cheap and, just as good electrically; buy a split bolt connector and place it on those twisted wires.
That looks great, it should give you many years more of wonderful service
