I will leave it unwrapped so I can see it. Thank you.

you can, I always wrapped it up backwards on split bolts ( sticky side out) because the glue on tape makes a mess when you open it up for inspection or adding a wire. It looks like the power conductor is shielded fairly well so I would consider it as a personal preference.

Is good. The rest of it looks good so that's a minor fix. The hard part is squeezing Into the space to work. No one has mentioned anything else so That's a big plus. Then onto to plumbing leaks--plumbers adhesive and cleaner on shopping list. I marked where need fixed.

You should be able to do it with one. you just take the nut off slide it over the conductor where it's twisted together and install the nut, tighten and you should be good to go.

I am taking a picture of your comment when I go to hardware store. Thank you. It's worked this way a long time, but it want be sure. Do I need just one split bolt connector for the grounds green wires.

So ska looking at those frame grounds the twisted wiring on the green leads I would highly recommend as John T noted to either supply a buss bar for those connections or on the cheap and, just as good electrically;  buy a split bolt connector and place it on those twisted wires.
