MJ and Eddie, My VT was so dirty, stained and chalky I had very little hope either but I did not give up. I respectfully suggest you wash it with a mixture TSP, Liquid Tide and Clorox. You may have to wash it a few times to get the years of exposure off. Then hit the really stubborn areas with Bar Keepers Helper and then some spray stain and decal remover. Then put a number of thin coats of ZEP WET LOOK floor wax on your surface. Take your time and just kinda dust each coat on your surface so it builds up and I beat you will be amazed at what you will be able to accomplish. My best to you.

Our "Stage Coach" had not had a soap bath in decades and was so dirty I thought initially new paint was going to be the only answer. I was pleasantly surprise with the cleaning. Now it has been a year and I can go out and just spray the bird dropping and dust off with no challenges.

We did the same with the apache and it worked wonders on what was almost a non-existant finish!

This is after I have washed the trailer with Bar Keepers Friend, then again with a solution of Clorox, Liquid Tide and TSP. Once it was as clean as I thought I was going to get it I applied 5-7 coats of ZEP Wet Look floor wax.
