my 1973 chevy lark motorhome ,saved it from the scrap yard bought it from someone that wanted the 454 motor and trans and generator and other things.we fitted it with 1977 ho 350 that has 67,000 on it with 400 trans runs like a champ.there was just 1 original owner after person purchased it breifly for powerplant. the insides are still original from red shag carpet to furnace to paneling,stove oven combo to the full bath/shower etc.

yes it does you would think it would bogged down but no  it cruises with little effort .i dont know about mountain climbing in california but there,s plenty of power .the ho(high output) 350 came out of a 1977 chevy caprice patrol car
