Tell us a little About Yourself
Jim and I were friends for many years before we became an "item". At that time he was working as a "joint manager" on a carnival and was on the road all the time. I missed him sooo much that I dumped my 9 to 5 job, sold my home, and joined him on the road! One night at the carnival someone decided to leave and that left Jim without someone to fill the "joint" (a joint is one of the games on the midway) so I jumped in, had an absolute blast and ended up T.A.ing the midway, which means in carney lingo, I was top agent, making the most money for the night! We spent a couple of seasons on the road traveling around in our little trailer, enjoying life and all the fun and family of carnival life. By accident (nobody ends up out here on purpose, LOL!) we stumbled upon our little acre of high desert heaven, purchased the land, dragged in an older single wide and went to work remodeling, landscaping and building a home. I found a job working two days a week tending a bar that was only opened on weekends for the local rancher trade. I worked there for about a year and a half till I found a better job locally and worked that for over four years till I retired. In that time my honey had taken seriously ill so he stayed as busy as he could putting our place in order and what a job he did too! That bare desert acre is now an oasis filled with shady cottonwoods, a beautiful fenced 80x40 vegetable garden, and a couple of chicken houses holding about fourty free range chickens! During most of the year we have so many eggs that we end up just giving them away to neighbors and trade the rest at the local Mercantile for chicken feed. Life has been good to us out here these past seven years but now with Jim's health rapidly improving we are sooo ready to get back on the road again. So, hopefully this spring we will be able to do just that! We are considering putting up our little spread for sale, 15 grand will buy it all, mobile, well, chickens, and a section fenced for a r.v. hook up. Anyone interested let us know!

bob put brand new tires on it before he had it moved to phx from show low az. they are brand new with less than 200 miles on them. the camper has an a/c furnace, it works acording to the man bob purchased it from.

there are two large propane tanks on board. the fridge also works as well.

i dont know if i told you. bob is a close friend of mine and right after he purchased it was diagnosed with parkinsons. so he is getting it and his motor home sold and getting things planned.

he never used the 5th wheel after he bought it. and the motor home has been parked for over a year as well.

Well, we dodged a bullet... a bit of rain and wind, but the worst of it stayed south of it. I did put a few pics up in the vintage RV section. Thanks for your good thoughts.

hey ya'll, I have looked on ebay for a hula girl lamp and they are up to $600.00...Sparky wouldn't know what to do with anything that expensive! Still it is fun to look and go on treasure hunts to decorate with...she has almost every piece of Tupperware and Corning Ware that was out in the 50's.

love "Sparky" as she is named. We have enjoyed fixing her up. She is very retro with flamingos and 50's stuff. Still looking for a Hula Girl Lamp but so far they are really expensive for an old one. I will try to post some pics.  Hope you get out of the path of the hurricane.
