I am in process of resurrecting a 1969 Chinook Mobilodge and I am in need of a replacement Hydroflame RC-16 wall furnace for parts. Any out there?Continue

I am very pleased with Mabel(the Magic Bus)'s performance on her maiden voyage this week-end. She kept her cool as we climbed up out of the valley in 100 degree weather and most everything worked as expected. Except, I did learn that you cannot use a standard solenoid as a battery isolator. They are not rated for continuous duty and will fail(what's that smell?).

Inspected Mabel(the Magic Bus) front brakes and wheel bearings. Everything looks good. Once I repack the bearings with fresh grease and new grease seals and we're off on our next adventure. I'm thinking an Applegate wine tour. Any designated drivers out there?

Hello Again Ray,
Here are the only photos I have at this time. As mentioned, I called the owner and he said he'd take $6500 and throw in a Dodge van he claims has a working (?) 318-V8 and transmission as a donor. I'll be back where it is at the end of next week and plan to 1) call him and arrange to take a much closer look / inspection of it to include under-chassis, body, roof and interior and 2) make him an offer which I hope we can come to an agreement upon albeit I have no interest in taking his Dodge van with the motor/trans as I'd prefer to buy a rebuilt set up that is correct for the M300 chassis (manifolds, etc). Not sure how many miles are on it so the suspension system will be another consideration as would be steering system and the brakes as well as the electrical including generator and fridge. Like I said, I'm thinking $4k is a reasonable offer given that it will need a fair amount of work. One thing that did catch my eye is all the glass appears to be intact, as well as the polished stainless side body panels (not painted over). Attached are the only photos I have of it at this time...Happy 4th. RickIMG_0147.JPG
