I have a list of wiring projects to tackle, but being a complete novice when it comes to electrical work, I thought it best to start simple.  I've been youtubing for weeks making sure I have a basic understanding of wire gauge, types of connections, and concepts such as grounding.  I've been filling my toolbox with gadgets, a multimeter, heat shrink, a pair of rubber gloves and the like.

Well my problem with the battery in the truck not charging has been fixed now. After having the alternator checked, the wiring all tracked and checked, it turns out the problem was the regulator. As luck would have it, when I bought this rig it came with a box of 'stuff' which looked like a lot of junk. In there was another regulator and when the guys tried it, it worked. So with the new regulator in place, I took her for a run and she did well, charging the battery. But after about 5 klm…

I'm new to RVing although I have been planning/wishing to do this for years now. On impulse I took the plunge and bought this wonderful 'lady' a 1977 Vanguard Sportsman. She's in wonderful condition considering her age, although she does have a problem common to her age and make....the truck motor will not charge the battery.
