Regarding my recent post about a fresh water tank repair, I just found a product that worked. It is an epoxy by JBweld called Plastic Bonder. It did bond with what I suspected was a nylon flange and did seal the leak. An rv dealer repair shop said the tank was unrepairable but they would be happy to order a new one. Thanks to everyone who responded

I just found this posting from Donald. I am not a Face Book guy. So I hope somehow he sees this. I bought a 1962 Robin Hood trailer. The restoration includes taking out the old galvanized water tank. I found a replacement tank at Plastic-Mart. Ok, ok I've heard enough about marts!
Anyway the tank I purchased has no fittings. I was not comfortable ordering one with fittings, and the placement of those fittings. So I bought a blank tank.
My concern was how to bond plastic fittings where I needed them to be. So seeing Donald's posting was wonderful.
It is amazing what one can find on the Good Old Rv website.
Thank you so very much.
Steve
