Thanks for the link. We were rebuilding a 1956 Ideal canned ham, but the city didn't like it in our driveway (the profile photo is my husband re-creating the framework for our ground-up rebuild) so we had to take the entire project to the dump. We are currently trailer-less. :-( But, we do have a 1951 Pontiac hearse so that'll have to hold us for a while. Again, thanks for the heads up on the August rally!
Jana: I found a site that lists Commers amongst its rvs that the club has. You can access by going to classiccampers.co.uk they are in England but they may have access to spares for your rig. How is your rig coming along? My old Glastron is getting mechanical repairs now, I have not started on the body or interior yet. Jimmy
Its close to Bakersfield, about 40 miles in the mountains up in the 4000K elevation It is a beautiful place to live. I will miss it dearly. I have of course gone over the RV with my Scotty, who is excited to tear it apart and rebuild it. Gosh I just wanted to remodel it LOL The funny thing is his reasons are so logical I must submit and let him have his fun.
If I come across any links that I think you could use I most definately will pass them along. I haven't even had the time to look for anything yet for the Forester. I have been so busy w/ tearing it down, the website & life....aka kids, animals, hubby etc. It's crazy how time consuming things can be! I joined your website & aparently am pending approval - lol! Nothing is ever easy :P ! I thought your site was great! It was well thought out, great colors, organized & easy to navigate thru... & your excellent with words! Kudos to you!!!
Wow, I see what you mean w/ your hubbies toes n all lol... I wanted to comment on your pics but I can't comment, send a message or change my page colors for some reason? Maybe because I'm new here? I love your pics however & your scenery pics r beautiful by the way! You guys are doing a fantastic job on your Commer. That thing looks really awesome! I can't wait to see your ending results!!!
Hi there, Really sounds like you've got your work cut out there. Will do what I can to get info for you. Thanks for the kind words about the book and website, please feel free to link to it. Best regards
JANA, WE ARE PAINTING INSIDE OF 1970 ARIS SINGLE AXLE , VERY SMALL, DO YOU THINK A RED COLOR WOULD BE GOOD?THE RED IS CALLED FIREWEED , ALSO WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD COLOR FOR TRIM,IF I USE THE RED ? CUSHIONS ARE NEW , A MIX OF BROWN AND BEIGE, ANY ADVICE ? THANKS JENNIFER
Hi Jana! Thanks for emailing your uncle. He did write back, but was a little nervous about the questions though! That's okay. I had lots of experts finally! I'm still waiting to see more about your project. I went to Alumapalooza in Ohio this month for the rally of Airstreams at the factory - about 150 of them. It was pretty cool! I still want one, but my budget says something more affordable!
