Have a question about our 1978 Mini Winni.  How do we find out where the propane is leaking from.  If we have the propane on for a day or two with nothing running it starts to smell in the motor…Continue

You might also find "How to Service a Used RV' helpful. It too is on the top right in our members "How To" posts. Basically, the checklist says to do normal service and replace belts, hoses, thermostats, radiator caps before you hit the road; doing it yourself for the most part and parts from your local, and much cheaper, Napa auto store. Oh, and do get RV towing insurance with at least 100 miles tagged on to your auto plan or Good Sam.  As for maintaining and working with your black water tank, that is an "art' most of us have to learn for ourselves. However, some popcorn and watching Robin Williams hilarious movie RV will get you some pointers.

Hi Doug and Sharron. There's an excellent post by LW on what to look for when buying a used/vintage rv. It's at the botton of our How To section top right of the home page. Saw that you were new to rving and though you might benefit from it. Also, Linda, Lady dog and I think that the older Minnie Winnies are some of the best values out there for folks looking for a classic classy class C. Plus, parts are still readily available.
