dome
After looking at a number of options I chose to roof in the dome with 1/8 inch puck board. It is UV protected, very durable and flexible enough to bend n the curves. It comes in various thicknesses but I have sufficient support under it to allow for the thinner sheet.
Next step is to apply liquid rubber to the sidewalls and base after which I will remove the screws…

Roof
With the worst of the tar, rubber and goop removed, glued and screwed a 1/2 in plywood skin. Next step will be to enclose the fiberglass dome and then apply primer and rubber roof…

Trailer Restoration
With 80% of the exterior repaired it is time to tackle the roof. There is so much tar and dried glue that there are only two options. Replace the whole roof or put a 1/2" skim of plywood over the existing roof. I chose option two and will get to it as soon as I have prepared the…
