Mystery Solved!!

After months of research...I finally discovered the origin of my coach. Apparently, Irv Perch sold the Arisotcrat company to Boise Cascade in 1969. He then went on to build the American Clipper line and Boise Cascade began marketing these Class C Motorhomes. What I don't know is if these early designs were ones that Boise got from Irv Perch with the acquisition...or were they unique Boise designs? I've now discovered several of these coaches on Ford Econoline chassis and I think some were put…See More

Another Aristocrat

Saw a 1973 Aristocrat truck camper on Craig's list. Same flooring, wallpaper and bathroom as my coach. The more I search...the more I think I have a one-off Aristocrat motor home built before the American Clipper line began.See More

Aristocrat Motor Homes

Greetings All - This is for any of the folks here who might know anything about the history of Aristocrat motor homes. I've been doing lots of homework trying to find out more about my coach. According to the American Clipper owners web site, Irv Perch started the American Clipper line of motor homes in 1973 and there were only three Clippers built in that year. The web site says all early Clippers were on Dodge chassis. Since mine is a Chevy chassis, I'm still stumped. Also, my coach looks…See More

We are missionaries working with orphan children overseas. We own a 1973 Aristocrat Motorhome on a Chevy Van Chassis. We enjoyed it greatly before leaving the US. It is now stored in our barn and we use it as a hotel room when we visit the States. We intend to continue using it if/when we return.
