Here's a tune my buddy and I wrote about 10 years ago. Recorded it during this practice session, but that's about as far as we got with it. It has that 70's feel. You'll hear that I have the keyboard swet to emulate a Hammond B3 organ. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s50/sh/f125dc4c-da9a-474e-abb7-c65980a9d9b9/ae0f9292916491429cb72984039ba0ac

Patricio: I enjoyed the song. You are an excellent musician! I like that classic 70's sound, but you are younger than us old geezers who grew up in that era. You kids are supposed to be doing rap and grunge and shit like that, ain't you?

What is your instrument, Patricio? Hopefully, it's a guitar or smaller. I keep my keyboard stowed out in the basement, cause there's just not enough room inside to set it up. But I do keep my guitar inside with me. I kinda miss not being able to set up the keyboard inside the MH.

Great question, Patricio. Recreational Vehicle, or "RV," refers to the entire range of different types of camping vehicles, including motorhomes, fifth wheels, pickup campers and various trailers. So it is right to call your rig either an RV or a MH. Both terms are correct.

As for MH's, they are further divided into "bus conversions" (similar to the ones owned by touring artists), Class A (like you and I own), Class B (essentially converted vans), and Class C (which has a truck cab).

Another interesting thing about living in an RV is that it is traditional to use some nautical terms. Our "kitchen" is usually called a "galley." Some people call the "bedroom" the "stateroom." When you go to the rear of the RV, some people will say "aft." But this is not a hard and fast rule -- about half the folks call it a "galley" and half call it a "kitchen."

You will also be pleased to learn I went through a few negative six degree nights last winter and had no problem with freezing pipes. So our "sister" motorhomes do very well in extreme temps. The water pipes lay beside the furnace ductwork, and the ducts in mine (I have twin beds) actually run alongside the freshwater tank. Therefore, as long as you are running your furnace you are preventing the pipes from freezing! I also had no problem with the wastewater tanks freezing either -- they seem to sit half in, half out of the heated area.

My water heater has been converted to electric, but the furnace and cookstove still burn propane. In the coldest months, I was using about 14 gallons of propane a month--and I cook all my meals at home! I had been afraid that my propane costs would skyrocket during the cold Oklahoma winter, but was very pleased with the result.

The engine in my MH, which was built the same year and on the same assembly line as yours, has only 46,000 miles and still runs great. I do have a list of minor maintenance issues, however.

I have all the owner's manuals, etc., for mine. If you're missing any of them, let me know and I'll scan and post. That Chevy 454 engine has some quirks associated with the heat it produces. If you haven't yet learned about those quirks, you can google it, or contact me and I'll tell ya what I know. There have been some mods to my engine ... seems that the previous owner split some 5-gallon grease buckets in half and made this air scoop to direct air to the passenger side of the engine.

Wow! Your motorhome looks very similar to mine!

BTW, I am also a musician, and live full-time in my MH as well!
