I have the perfect situation for full timing. I live in a college town and my home could be split into 3 good size apartments; 4 if I added on a small room for a kitchenette on the basement level. All at a small investment. On the property I have a large Pole Building that I could call my base camp I already have Cable, and Internet up there along with water. I would need to add sewage to make it completely self contained. I could travel about the country in the old Palace (1978 Travelcraft) The only problem I have Is ME! I just can't seam to be able to pull the trigger. I love my old RV and I love going out around the state of Ohio. I just haven't gotten to the point that I can head out there. I am very Jealous of the folks that can make it work. My hats off to you and your wife Van.
The joys of retirement,,,, No timeclocks,, no hitting the grid iron, just time,, and lots of it,,, excluding hobbies and things to do. Time to take those road trips and adventures,, not having to plan every detail,, sticking to a deadline. If something catches your attention,, don't hesitate to detour and take a look, or two. Even if you take a short venture and decide to hunker down at a place that suits your fancy. There are several Full Timers here at GORV,, ( I for one), and I love it.
Welcome Van - I've found this to be a great forum and very supportive. Look forward to your posts and hearing about your adventures getting ready to, and going fulltime RVing!
