Debating swapping my 4.10 for a 3.42 rear. I'm never going to tow anything with her and would like to get a bit better rpm at highway speed.

Is the 4L80E a 4 speed auto with overdrive? I assume that's what it is otherwise the upper ratio on most autos is still 1:1 so that's no better than my TH400. I'll have to look into it. Not afraid to swap out transmissions on this beast if I can do it.

The 4L80E I put in my Allegro works great but is probably quite a bit more expensive. It keeps the towing aspect on the table for later.

Trying to see how the mileage will drop. I've had several other vehicles where I've swapped out rear diffs to get better cruising conditions on the highway. The 3.73 is not enough of a difference (about 90% of the 4.10) to justify the swap. The 3.42 will allow the engine to run at about 2500 rpm @ 65mph which should still be in the sweet spot for torque. In town you need to be a bit careful and maybe adjust the shift points and decide not to tow anything.
