Howdy All,
My wife and daughter are remodeling our 30' 1984 Allegro, Coming along nicely. The main entrance door was damaged previously. Took the door into our local shop and they did what they could to fix it. It is still not right.
Does anyone know where we can get a replacement door?
Thanks in advance.

The only problem your actually going to have is an actual original door. I talked with a friend who has worked alot on Alegro's and he said, Network around the net and maybe you find one, or do as he has done numerous times. ( Iv'e done it twice). Build your own door using your original as a template. Depending on the actual thickness, (most are 2" thick).
Construct a basic frame and use lightweight 2x2 with foam center core. Make it durable yet lightweight. To finish the aluminum framing around door, lowes or home depot have aluminum channels and such. Its not as hard as one would think to build.
I would try Sands RV for your door. They were a Allegro dealer back in the 80's.
Jimco, Great lead, they had a door that they said would fit for $300.--.
Problem is, They do not ship and would not even make an effort to help me get it here.
I phoned Bob at Sands RV.He said that he would box it up and ship it for about another $100.I would be glad to help out with this and box it up and ship it to you for just the shipping. You can pay Bob with a credit card.If you are interested I can go over there and double check the dimensions and send you some photos before you buy it.
Jimco, I sent you a Private Message
Thanks guys, I've got a message off to Sands and will see what they have.
It has been rainin here, Canon City, CO, so much that tryin to build a new door myself would be quite the challenge, but still an option if Sands is not able to help.
Thanks again for any other suggestions.
Thankt jimco, Will hold off for a bit and see what Elizabeth at Tiffin comes up with.
