Hello to all. I am new to the RV scene so bare with me. I have been trying out my RV that I just bought in the yard here at home. It had a TV already in it but no antenna. I went to walley world and bought an RCA ANT1450 Amplified Flat Multi Directional Indoor Antenna. Good lord that sounds awesome but I wonder. Hey the price was right. lol

On the TV that the RV came with I could get about 10-14 channels. I have since changed the TV and can’t get squat. They are both flat screen TV’s and I suppose that I should get the same channels. Is this correct? Also what is a good antenna to buy if not the one I have? Funny but on the older TV I just stashed the antenna in a cupboard and it worked fine. I even put it outside for the new TV and nothing.

I found this link that gave me an idea of what I should get: http://www.antennapoint.com/

Look forward to advice and/or suggestions. Soon to make my maiden voyage in my RV so just fooling around with things. Can’t wait to take it somewhere.

Thanks in advance and it is great to read here. I have learned a lot.

Did you go into the NEW TV's menu and set it for Antennea and NOT Cable?    Most new TV's are set from factory with Cable/Satilite setting... You have to go in the menu and select AIR/antennea. then do a channel scan.

Yeah I set the TV to antenna. Going to move the antenna to different places and see what works. read more about antenna's last night. Learned some more. Thanks for the advice. Crazy that one TV got a lot of channels but the other has none - no signal. I'm going to try differnet things to day and see. Great reason to get back in the RV and piddle. Thanks for the reply.

i know when we travel, we have to do a chanel search each time, since channels are different in other areas.

I'm good. I et the antenna up in a different (outside) location, redid the channel search and we got it. Thanks. I guess it was just doing the newbie thing. lol.

We all pretty much been in a perdicament like that to. Thats what we are all here for, to share and help.

Glad ya got it going.
