After extensive search in both The Netherlands and in the USA, I bought last June a 1978 Dodge Xplorer 224.

I found one on eBay for a reasonable price and it seemed in good condition, at least so I thought...

After a long trip, from AZ to LA and to Europe, it arrived in September. When you import a vehicle to The Netherlands it needs a

mechanical examination before you get the licence/title. this includes, proper operation of lights, brakes, emissions, safety belts, tires, body/chassiss, etc., etc.

So first I took it my car shop for the basics. I will post more about all the work that has been done.

Upon arrival, the interior is complete and undamaged. In nice 70's green. The bathroom is in good shape. There was no matrass but due to hygenic reasons, I want to replace that anyway. It has a Norcold refrigerator. 110/12 volts. In the end I will convert that to a 240/12 volt version.

Very clean rig. doesnt even come close to looking 36 yrs old....
