Just finished my 1962 Mobile Scout and took her out for first time Everything went super except for one item.  We could not get the Modernaire oven to turn off without turning off the propane. Also the top burners would not operate at full steam when using the oven.  Suggestions?

Your gas metering valves need cleaning... Located off the handles going into the gas tubes to the burners.

Good ole fashioned PIPE cleaners and a lil WD-40 usually does the trick.

As far as FULL steam with the burners, with the oven going,, Thats really common,, Your diverting the *gas to 2 locations and with that,, less gas to add More power. Ovens need more gas to perform so the gas is diverted there and less to top burners... And DON'T  Tweek the propane pressure to achieve more pressure.

Thanks for the info.  I guessed as much on the supply to multiple areas.  I will give the pipe cleaner solution a go.  Thanks again!

Tried the pipe cleaner and wd40.  Assume I am not adjusting the two screws/jets correctly.  I removed the dial, the two jets, and cleaned.  Can not seem to get the adjustment correct.  Is there a basic starting point for adjustment?  Currently the left jet is almost closed with the right jet open until the flame seems okay on the pilot.  Thanks in advance for input
