Hey there everyone, hope someone might be able to help me out here.

I have a cracked driver's-side exhaust manifold on my '73 Brave D20. I am desperately trying to find one, and all I've been able to scare up in local scrap yards is a passenger's-side one. Any one know where I might find a non-heat riser manifold?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Not many welders will weld up Cast manifolds anymore. I had the same pronlem, but was on passenger side and ended up putting on a set of off market headers,, Made it easier to do plug changes and it let the engine breathe a bit better.

Thanks Pat & Lakota Wolf -- Yeah, I talked to a guy who might weld it, once I pull it off and see how bad the crack is.

I called two of those salvage yards so far, am slowly working my way down the list. So glad that resource exists!

Or, better yet, take this as an opportunity to upgrade to stainless headers! You can achieve noticeable power improvement and eliminate further cracked manifolds.

Hey Matthew, good idea. I have to see what kinda tax return I get this year -- maybe I'll do exactly that. Any recommendation about specific headers?

I forget the make of the ones I havbe, but they are SS construction with the proper length for improving torque. Be sure to NOT get the ones made for hot rod/top end improvement. Maybe look at Summit Racing??

Summit replied to my request with "We have nothing that will fit. Contact Hedman." So I'm doing that now.

You don't happen to have any pics of yours, do you?

Thanks for your help.

I think I may try these -- they come up fitting a 73 Dodge m300 & 318-3, even though it also says Chevy small block. Going to inquire around a bit before I order them.

Don't look quite right to me.... Check out Hedman part # 79036 and see what you think

Dang Matt, you're the man. I've narrowed it down to 79036 or 79030. I have to do a little more research. I'm hoping it's the cheaper of the two...

But again, thanks for your help.

Not exactly all that cheap, are they? That outfit is mighty proud of it's products!

These are the type I have on my 360, along with a free-flow 3" single exhaust. I had to add a resonator because of the hot-roddy rumble, but it's still a bit on the "look at me" side at idle for my taste. The prev owner had removed the original twin tailpipe/single exhaust pipe setup and installed a really hokey dual exhaust setup with glasspacks. The tailpipe on the passengers side exited close to the coach door and exhaust fumes and noise were a big problem. There was no equalizer crossover pipe between the right and left banks, and therefore no scavenging effect from the V-8 firing order. Lousy power, poor MPG, fumes and it sounded like there were two 4 cylinder engines. Perfect!

is there anyway you can send a picture of what you need  I have several dodges  I am parting out   I might have one that will work  jay   jay_furney@hotmail.com

Hey Jay, I'll post a pic as soon as I get back home. I'm pretty sure what I need is casting number 2536477, but I'll post again once I can get a good look at it.
